Let us bring you a little bit of joy! Russell and Simon have just produced the Sunday Sessions Vol 1. It features 4 tracks from The Nightwires catalogue and can be viewed below and via our Facebook page. If this goes well, there will hopefully be more, so stay tuned…
So, we have been busy writing some new songs, which we hope to record over the next few months. However, we like to test out new songs at gigs to see if they work! Here is “Wishful Thinking” recorded at our recent appearance at the Flowerpot in Derby.
Here are Russell and Simon, performing “Summer Forgets” at the recent Wirksworth Festival in Derbyshire.
We are delighted to be playing at The Wirksworth Festival in Derbyshire again this coming weekend, on Saturday 7th September.
Russell and Simon will be performing a couple of acoustic sets, at 12 noon on Church Walk and then at 2pm at The Old Lock Up. Come by and say hello and maybe pick up a copy of out latest album.
Things have been a little quiet over the last few months, mainly due to real life being annoying and getting in the way! However, we have been working on some new material and, you never know, we might get around to releasing something at some point.
We recently played at the Nottingham Camra Robin Hood Beer Festival, which took place at the Motorpoint Arena in the City. We had a great time and it’s always great to play for a few thousand people! Here are some pictures, taken by Angela Clements.
We recently had a rehearsal, ahead of our appearance at the upcoming Camra Nottingham Beer Festival, which takes place at the Nottingham Arena on Saturday 20th October.
So we thought it would be a nice idea to document some of our songs. The audio is from the camera mic’s but its nice to have these videos. More will follow…
September gig update…
Our show this coming Monday 3rd at the Flowerpot, has been rescheduled to October 29th. Full details to follow.
But in the meantime, we play a couple of great Festivals this month.
Saturday 8th September: Wirksworth Festival, Derbyshire. Acoustic Duo performances in the afternoon
Saturday 22nd September: Duffield Arts Festival. Full band Show. Ecclesbourne School, 3pm.

A few details re set times are yet to be confirmed, but these shows will be a good chance for you to catch both our acoustic and full band shows.
Just a quick message to say thank you to everyone who caught our set yesterday, at the Derbyshire Food & Drink Fair, which took place at Kedleston Hall. Also a big thanks to Graham for having us on again. We appreciate your support.
